Yeah, those are some heavy moon cakes. The one I had was refrigerated with a jam filling--no lotus paste. Supposedly, Haagen Daz makes a great ice cream moon cake if you're willing to spend the money.

@ChinaMatt - It's surprising you mention the Haagen Daz moon cakes. It was only this morning that I was hearing about them on the Dear Amber show from ChinesePod. Apparently there are a number of new, trendy, fillings designed to capitalise on the fact that the traditional fillings aren't liked much by the current generation of Chinese.
